Join our community of volunteers and make a difference right here in Bergen County.

We hope you will join us in performing the mitzvah of Bikur Cholim by volunteering for one or more of the following opportunities. Bikur Cholim Bergen County is built on the kindness of neighbors helping neighbors. Guided by the Rabbanim of the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County (RCBC), our volunteers uphold the mitzvah of Bikur Cholim with compassion, discretion, and respect.

Volunteering isn’t just about giving time, it’s about bringing hope and dignity to those who need it most.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our opportunities are flexible and meaningful, whether you can give an hour a month or an afternoon each week. Each role helps families in a tangible, heartfelt way.

Meal Preparation & Delivery

Cook and deliver kosher meals to families and patients in the community. This is a valuable support helping people recuperate.

Shabbos Room Setup

Help us prepare, restock, and tidy the hospitality Shabbos apartments, ensuring guests have what they need for a restful, dignified stay.

Medical Visits

Provide rides to and from medical appointments in Bergen County
(Valid driver’s license required)

Navigating Local Resources

Guiding callers and those visiting our area for medical care with information and resources, i.e. Rabbis, local minyanim, and more
